Terms of Service

Overview

HomeQueue (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a household job and maintenance tracking app available at homequeue.app and on iOS. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of HomeQueue.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use HomeQueue. If you have questions, contact us at hello@homequeue.app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a HomeQueue account. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement. HomeQueue is intended for personal household use, not commercial or property management purposes.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorised access, notify us at hello@homequeue.app promptly.

Each account is for a single person. You may not share your account credentials with others. To give household members access, use the invite feature within the app.

Households and Members

HomeQueue is built around shared households. When you create a household you become its owner. You can invite others to join as members or admins. All members of a household can view and edit the shared job list and upkeep tasks.

The subscription tier of a household is determined by the household owner's plan. If the owner holds a Pro subscription, all members of that household receive Pro features at no extra cost. You are responsible for ensuring that anyone you invite to your household agrees to these terms.

Free and Pro Plans

Free plan

The free plan is available to all users at no cost and includes up to 5 active jobs, 3 upkeep tasks, and 1 household. No credit card is required.

Pro plan

Pro is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. Pro includes unlimited jobs, upkeep tasks, and households, plus photo attachments and additional features. Current pricing is displayed on the pricing page.

We reserve the right to adjust plan features and pricing. Existing subscribers will be given reasonable notice of any price changes before they take effect. Where a plan is described as “lifetime”, this refers to the operational lifetime of the HomeQueue service rather than the lifetime of the purchaser. We intend to operate HomeQueue indefinitely but may discontinue the service at our discretion. If we do, lifetime purchasers are not entitled to a refund beyond the standard refund window.

Payments and Billing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Monthly and annual subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing period. Lifetime purchases are a one-time charge. By providing payment details you authorise us to charge you for the plan you select.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to Pro features until that date.

After cancellation your account reverts to the free plan. Your data is preserved. Lifetime purchases do not expire and cannot be cancelled.

Refunds

Subscription payments are non-refundable. When you cancel, you retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not offer partial or pro-rata refunds for unused time.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. If a consumer guarantee applies to your situation, we will honour it.

Your Content

You own the content you create in HomeQueue, including jobs, notes, photos, and files. By uploading content you grant HomeQueue a limited licence to store, display, and sync that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your household members.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content and that it does not infringe on the rights of others. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating the service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use HomeQueue for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or infringes third-party rights
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service
  • Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

Intellectual Property

HomeQueue, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by HomeQueue. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.

Service Availability

We aim to keep HomeQueue available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may perform maintenance, make updates, or temporarily suspend the service without notice.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time. Where a change materially reduces the functionality of a paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

HomeQueue is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of income, or damage to property. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where those rights cannot be excluded.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a way that could harm others.

On termination, your right to access the service ends. We will retain your data for a reasonable period in case of dispute, then delete it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Where changes are significant, we will also notify you by email. Continued use of HomeQueue after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
